Colleen graduated from Perry Meridian High School in 2005 and
now majors in Modern Dance in Indiana University's new contemporary dance
program. In high school, she participated in three musicals (Dance Captain her

the Dance category in 2005. In college, she was the Dance Captain in The Who's
Tommy with University Players, an undergraduate theater club at IU. Colleen
loves the freedom of dancing. "No matter what kind of day you are having or
what is on your mind, you can always dance and either escape or work through
what may be happening at that time in your life." She loves to perform because
through movement you have the ability to make an impact on someone else's life.
"Dance has brought an incredible amount of happiness to my life.
Without dance my life would be very different. I have met so many amazing
people and learned so many life lessons through dance. One amazing person that
I met when I was very young is Diane Gudat, who has been my dance teacher for
many years at The Dance Company. Diane has taught me to always try my best and
to keep a positive outlook on life. I have learned to reach for my dreams and
take charge of my life, not letting anything or anyone keep me from goals."

Sciences with an Environmental Communication concentration. Continuing her love
for dance, she is pursuing a Dance Performance minor and is a member of the
