The Dance Company is the home of the Indianapolis Children’s
Dance League, an award winning, and highly respected performance
company for students 10 years old through high school. Members are auditioned
each June. These young dancers are exposed to high quality learning and
performance experiences unparalleled in our area.
Diane Gudat, the Artistic Director, is considered a
Master Teacher and has served on the faculty for the conventions, workshops and
teacher’s training schools of several organizations including
Dance Masters of America, Chicago
National Assoc. of Dance Masters, The Dance Teacher’s Club of Boston
and Florida Dance
Masters. She is a popular adjudicator for several national dance and
performing arts competitions in the United States and Canada. She has authored
six dance education books. Her award winning choreography takes her to private
studios all over the country as a guest artist.
As a non-profit performance company, the ICDL fundraises for
things like competition fees, costuming, and trips to educational dance events
around the country. The ICDL has performed at the Indy 500 Festival in
Indianapolis, on Tomorrow Land stage in DisneyWorld, at the prestigious Jazz
Dance World Congress, during the Prelude Awards ceremony in Indianapolis, and
countless other local performances for friends, family and special guests.

The ICDL recently appeared with the IU Moving Company.
They performed two dances, "All That Jazz" and "This Joint Is Jumpin'".
The dancers will be performing at the Dance Educators of America competition
and attending the DEA Convention in Indianapolis, March 3-4. They will be
competing at the American Dance Awards in Dayton, Ohio March 17-18.

Congratulations to ISDC title winners Brandon Welch (Mr. Dance
of Indiana), Aaron Price (Mr. Dance of Indiana Runner-Up), Stephanie Brown
(Miss Dance of Indiana Runner-Up), Kayla Hardimon (Teen Miss Dance of Indiana
Runner-Up), and Roger Wood (Jr. Mr. Dance of Indiana Runner-Up).
Congratulations to Brandon Welch for receiving runner-up in this
year's Prelude Competition and also for receiving the Judge's Award for
Excellence at ISDC.
