Michele Utzig
Jazz Class Instructor

A Buffalo, NY native, Michele trained at The University at Buffalo where she achieved her special Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance Performance. She has taught at multiple dance studios throughout the Western New York and New Jersey areas and has also found success as a competition judge throughout the U.S. and Canada. Michele moved to New York City eight years ago to train at Broadway Dance Center, New Dance Group, Luigi's Jazz Center, and Steps on Broadway as a scholarship student. Michele performed professionally on the national tours of Crazy for You, Peter Pan, and Barry Manilow's Copacabana. She has also performed regionally in Guys & Dolls, 42nd Street, Beauty and the Beast, The King and I, Will Rogers Follies, Anything Goes, A Funny Thing...Forum, Oklahoma, Cabaret, and Funny Girl, acting as dance captain for many of the shows.

She was a member of the Zodiaque Dance Company for four years in Buffalo and is also a proud member of Actors' Equity Association. As well as being a teacher she is also a choreographer for summer stock theatres. She has trained with renowned teachers and choreographers such as Chet Walker, Randy Skinner, Phil Black, Luigi, Paula Sloan, David Parsons, Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, Taylor 2 Company, DCDC and Pilobolus. Michele has danced in commercials, music videos and several industrials. She hair models for L'Oreal Professionnel, danced at Carnegie Hall with Elaine Stritch and the Rockettes and can be seen in The Producers movie musical directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner, Susan Stroman.
