Dress Rehearsal
Download the Dress Rehearsal Schedule Here!
Mandatory Dress Rehearsal is on Saturday, June 8th. Dress Rehearsal Schedule is also posted in the lobby. What to know about Dress Rehearsal:
1. Make note of the scheduled rehearsal time for each of your pieces. These times are approximate.
2. Dancers should be at auditorium, dressed and ready to perform, with hair and make-up done 30 minutes prior to their scheduled rehearsal time.
3. Class pictures will be taken at rehearsal.
4. All students are choreographed into our Finale, and must attend Finale Rehearsal which will take place between Act I and Act II on Saturday. Finalepractice is schedudled to begin at 11:30am. Dancers not required on stage should begin lining up backstage by 11:15am. Cast picture will be taken at the completion of the finale rehearsal. Dancers not appearing in Act 2 will be dismissed for the day at that time. Dancers not appearing in Act I need not report until Finale rehearsal.
5. Check to make sure your name appears under each piece in which you will be performing and is spelled correctly. Contact us with any necessary changes. Names will otherwise appear in the program as they do on this list!
Show Day
All solo recital performers should be at the theater no later than 12pm. All main show dancers should be at the theater by 2pm. Preschool dancers in Act 2 are permitted to stay with their parents until Intermission. Preschoolers appearing in Act 1 may go to their parents during intermission, until time to line up for Finale halfway through Act 2. All other dancers should report to their assigned dressing rooms upon arrival and check in with their Class Mom or on the Call Sheets outside your dressing room. Students should remain with their Class Moms; and when not performing should either be in the dressing rooms, or viewing the recital from the Balcony (or designated area) ONLY. Students older than preschool level are not permitted in the main level of the auditorium while in costume! Classes should line up backstage no less than five numbers before theirs. Mothers may assist in the dressing rooms; however, Class Moms and students only are allowed though the backstage doors. All other parents will watch from the House.
All students are choreographed into our Finale and are expected to participate. Students will wear their recital T Shirt for the Finale. All dancers should have ordered one. Dancers should begin lining up in the backstage hallway halfway through the second Act or as soon as their last piece is finished. Once released from the stage at the end of the show, dancers will be escorted to the backstage hallway to be picked up.
Tickets
Recital tickets will be available for purchase during dress rehearsal and prior to the show in the lobby. To avoid the lines, you may pre-order your tickets. Download this form and return it to the office. We recommend you pre-purchase tickets to avoid delays at the door on show day. Please inform your guests ahead of time of the need to purchase tickets to make sure everyone has the necessary cash on hand if purchasing at the theater, as credit card processing is not available on site. Tickets to Recital are GENERAL ADMISSION and seating is granted on a first come, first served basis. In the interest of fairness, SAVING SEATS IS PROHIBITED! Please collect your entire group in the lobby, and enter the theater together. If you plan to have a large number of guests, or wish to sit in particular area of the house, you will want to arrive early. Please inform us if you or any of your guests will require special assistance or consideration in seating. The house will open at 12:00pm for the Solo Recital. Main Recital Seating will begin at the conclusion of the Solo Recital at approximately 2pm.

Hair and Make-Up Guidelines
Unless otherwise specified by your instructor, dancers should wear their hair in a single bun, low on the back of the head. Not sure how to make a great bun for recital? Watch the demonstration below! Download written instructions here.
Make-Up should be applied with a heavier than usual hand, but using natural tones. This instructional video gives wonderful guidelines for stage make-up on a young dancer. This look can be made more dramatic for older students using black liner, false eyelashes and a deeper lip tone. The cosmetics referred to in this video, as well as additional make-up tips and looks are available at http://www.jamcosmetics.net/Recital-Makeup-s/55.htm. You can also create this look with any similar colors you probably already have and some drugstore additions!
